Spring 2012 Jewelry! Part 1!
I have been TERRIBLE about writing this blog. In my defense, I had been moving, making jewelry for my website and two stores, and organizing and singing in a tribute show to the amazing funk singer BETTY DAVIS. Now I am unpacked and settled in my new pad (pics of the deer antler-laden decor to come soon), and ready to show all the pieces I've made since about January. These are the necklaces...
This piece is made from an etched brass medallion. the purple glass stone is from a vintage brooch!
This necklace is made from a art deco inspired rhinestone brooch, and vintage chain.
This piece is made from a solitary vintage shoe clip.
NOW the heady stuff. Sterling filligree chain with sparse fresh water pearl accents. A vintage sterling medallion, and a rose quartz pendulum stone.
Detailed shot. I like the juxtaposition of the heirloom-y and antique with this very modern shaped stone. The rose quartz is actually for mad new age crystal healing. I just like the shape.
Assorted vintage gold-filled chains with antique gold-filled watch and raw amber drop.
Once again, vintage+raw stones=rad
I made this for myself actually...like, FOREVER ago. I never wore it, so I'm releasing it into the periphery.
I hand wire-wrapped all those crystals. I found them upstate in a small town while on a hiking trip. The chain was a vintage costume necklace.
Sterling and labradorite! Simple and lovely.
II absolutely LOVE this shell. It hangs from sterling chain, with sterling chain swags.
This piece was made from fragments and/or actual bracelets. All either sterling silver or gold-filled.
Its a great layering piece.
Sterling silver thunder bird and shield. I really am into Native American aesthetics right now.
Art Nouveau lady head and amber in sterling silver.
She's pretty.
Vintage brass lotus bottle with beads. I use these bottles a lot in my work.
Solitary sterling Navajo earring with turquoise nugget. I really really REALLY love this one...kinda don't wanna sell it....
Love the detailing....
Pics of earrings and a (yes, one) bracelet will come soon!
