Packing for tour

So, I'm going on tour this week with The Woes. I have been on tour many many times, and so I got the packing thing down. What you bring needs to be as bare-bones as possible, while still meeting all the little needs you may have. Clothing-wise, that means bringing clothes that are comfortable, hot, easy to mix and match, look good wrinkled and/or dirty, and can serve as sort of a security blanket. I have worn the same Derek Lam leather jacket on almost every tour I have been on since the fall of 2006 when I was on tour with Lee "Scratch" Perry. I'm also bringing this crazy big vintage Norma Kamali fleece. Its in this HUGE cocoon shape, and will be awesome to wear, and even more awesome to sleep in a van with. Two pairs of jeans: don't bring any more jeans than that. Assorted grey jersey tops...I'm addicted to them, including my beloved Rick Owens sweater. I dont go crazy with shoes, just a pair of frye campus boots, one pair smaller ankle boots, and some slip on canvas shoes. I have brought heels in the past, but this is NOT that kind of tour. I SWEAR by the Botkier "Trigger" bag as THE road purse on DOOM. This thing has so many pockets, you can keep your things organized, hide a flask (its a REALLY good purse for whiskey flask hiding) and once you're back home, know exactly were your keys are. I wish they made one that was a bit bigger, so you could fit a notebook in. Thats the only bag I'm taking. Road dressing is the real deal in rock and roll style. You can't have a lot to work with, and you gotta look awesome while on no sleep, dirty and hungover. See you when I get back!
